Bigger is not always better, but doesn’t have to be bad.

When God blesses our ministries, it could be the worst thing to ever happen to us. Or not. It all depends on how we handle it. Explosive growth times in the life of our church have always brought two things in my life: euphoria and fatigue. While trying to keep up with everyone, love everyone, and lead everyone in crazy times in our church, sometimes there's just one person I forget: ME. I forget to lead myself. I forget to "nurture vitality": Care for; pay attention to, my own health: emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually! At the Exponential Conference, I will be talking about how to lead a fast growing church while staying true to lead ourselves and those dearest to us. We can not take people further than we can take ourselves! Bigger is not always better, but it doesn't have to be bad! I will discuss secrets I've discovered in talking with hundreds of pastors, that can actually lead to more explosive growth in our churches, while nurturing our own vitality! Join me for this. It will rock! Here's the workshop description from the Exponential website: "In this workshop, Shawn will use his 11 yrs of experience planting a successful church , as well as coaching hundreds of church planters, to give practical advice on how to lead a fast growing church while at staying healthy: emotionally, relationally, physically, and spiritually."
