Swing the bat 'til your hands bleed...

In the last session of the conference, my friend Bil Cornelius talked about a professional baseball player he knew, who told him that he practiced so much as a kid that he "swung the bat until his hands bled." He attributed his success as a baseball player, not his unique skill, but to his diligence. GOSH! You and I can learn so much from that! If there's anything God said to me during EVOLVE, it's the fact that I'm going to keep swinging the bat until my hands bleed! I'm not going to quit, be quiet, go away, move churches, stop reaching out, stop trying to figure it out, stop praying, stop believing, stop working, or stop becoming everything God wants me to be!
When I strike out, I'm going to go back and practice some more; I'm going to get better; I'm going to grow; I'm going to ask God to help me grow; I'm going to work, I'm going to sweat, I'm going to swing--until God hits home runs consistently through me!
