I'm thankful our paths crossed when they did.
I'm thankful I get to be involved in what you do and your daily life.
I'm thankful I get to operate these days in my "sweet spot." My occupation aligns with my gifts and that energizes me daily. This is what I was made to do!
I'm thankful I love going to work and I love coming come. I truly love my job...and I love my family so much more. Both are important!
I'm thankful to have friends like you: loyal, loving, forgiving, patient, and committed. Those are hard to come by these days.
I'm thankful to have had some amazing mentors in my life: Andy Stanley, Dan Reiland, Larry Osborne, Dave Travis, Sam Chand, Dino Rizzo, David Middlebrook, Jim Sheppard, Jim Law, Cliff Oxford, Rick Warren, Todd Wilson, David Putman, David Chrzan, and more. Every step I have climbed has been because of what God has done through you.
I'm thankful to have been a pastor of a local church for over twenty years. I am thankful to have experienced God's grace, His mercy, and His favor so many times.
I'm so thankful God uses imperfect, often broken people to accomplish His purposes!
I'm thankful now to have a great pastor and a great church. Chris Hodges, thanks for being my friend and pastor. You know this, but you are my pastor because you model the way. Period. Thanks for being you. Thanks for wanting God more than you ever want __________(plug in the blank). Don't ever change.
I'm thankful for my wife and partner Tricia. I'm thankful for a wife that loves me just the way I am and forgives me a lot. I'm thankful for that out of all the women on this planet, God gave me you. I'm thankful also that you are the mother of our children. You are a great mom. Don't ever let the enemy convince you otherwise.
Hannah, Madison, & Paul: I am your biggest fans. I am so proud of you, not because of anything you do. I'm proud of who you are, and well, I'm just proud because you're mine. We really do have the best family in the world, don't we?
I am thankful for three generations of spiritual legacy in my family. Without which, I might have ended up in prison at some point! I feel so blessed to be a Lovejoy. I am thankful for living close to my family for the first time in nearly two decades. I' thankful I get to spend this day with you!
I'm thankful for Thanksgiving, but I am MORE thankful for Christmas, the event that celebrates God coming to our neighborhood. I'm even more thankful for Easter, because through Christ's death and resurrection there is hope...for me...for you...for us.
Of course, I have saved the best for last.
I am thankful for You, Jesus. I'm thankful for the mind-blowing privilege of being in a relationship with You. I don't deserve it.
Jesus, You are the ultimate friend and parent role model. You hate the sin but always love the sinner.
I'm thankful, Jesus, that You accept me just the way I am, but refuse to let me stay this way. You pull me and often push me to change!
I'm thankful for the platform God has given me to share things like this with the world. I'm thankful to me making some level of difference in the lives of pastors and churches all over the world. I am humbled by this privilege every day.
I'm thankful to lead a ministry that coaches leaders through whatever's keeping them up at night. It's so humbling to be a part of this. God, don't let me blow it up.
What are you thankful for? Why not sit down and type it out. It's been good for me. From this point on, make this a day of thanks-giving! In fact, why not make every day the same? You'll be glad you did.
If we can help you, just let us know. Thankful for the opportunity!
In the meantime...Happy Thanksgiving!
